Top Reasons to Choose Davis Vision Center for Your LASIK Procedure

You’ve been thinking about getting LASIK for a long time now, haven’t you? Talking yourself out of it over and over again, but every time you decide not to get LASIK, you start wondering again if you should take the leap to 24/7 clear vision after all.

We know that cycle. But deciding to end that cycle is the best thing you’ll ever do for your vision. No more glasses to get in your way, no worries that you’ll lose a contact - just clear sight without the daily effort.

Living in Utah, we know that you have a lot of options for LASIK eye surgery centers. But if you’re ready to make the permanent switch to 20/20 vision, you’ll find the best surgery and care at Davis Vision Center in South Jordan.

Here are some reasons why.

#1 - Expert LASIK Surgeon

While many of the other LASIK centers in Utah have experienced surgeons, how many of them have done more than 40,000 LASIK and PRK procedures? Dr. Davis has.

Davis Vision Center is the proud home of Dr. Brian Davis, MD. He’s not only one of the most experienced LASIK surgeons in Utah, but he’s also one of the most experienced in the entire United States. He’s had patients from all over the nation and the world come to him for their surgeries.

And when you choose Davis Vision Center for your eye surgery, you have access to Dr. Davis’s expertise and skill through every part of the LASIK process. Who wouldn’t want one of the top experts in the nation as their surgeon?

Honestly, it’s rare that an expert like Dr. Davis is so accessible, so we encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity. You’ll love the result.

#2 - Attentive Staff to Help You

Of course, Dr. Davis isn’t the only reason Davis Vision Center is a top option in Utah for LASIK eye surgery. He also has a fantastic staff to help him out.

The staff at Davis Vision are here to help you, the patient, anytime during your LASIK processes. Here’s how:

The process for LASIK has three steps -  the preoperative care, the procedure, and the postoperative care.

During your preoperative care, we’ll help assess your eyes to determine if you qualify for surgery and decide what needs to be done during your surgery to give you the best vision possible. We’ll also tell you everything you need to know to prepare for your surgery.

On the day of your procedure, we’ll be on hand to prep your eyes for the surgery and to give you any encouragement and guidance you might need. We’ll also instruct you in your post-surgery care

Finally, after you’ve had your surgery, we’ll check on your eyes to make sure everything’s healing well. We’ll have you return for regular follow-up appointments to make sure that the results of LASIK are the best they can be for you.

When you choose Davis Vision, we’re always here to help you with any vision concerns you may have. Call us today with any questions you may have at (801) 253-3080.

#3 - Latest Blade-Free LASIK Technology

An experienced surgeon is important to you having good results after your surgery. But an experienced surgeon using the latest surgical technologies can take your surgery results from good to great.

Dr. Davis uses new tech like the Intralase Laser flap creation (which cuts the flap on your eye with a laser instead of a blade, making LASIK much safer) and the VISX Star S4 IR (which memorizes the spots on your iris, allowing the computer to track the movements of your eye during the procedure and adjust for those movements).

He also uses the Wavefront analyzer in certain custom LASIK procedures. By using the Wavefront analyzer, Dr. Davis can check your eyes for small imperfections that can be corrected during a LASIK surgery. These imperfections are typically corrected in addition to correcting the cornea for nearsightedness and farsightedness.

Though LASIK can still be done successfully with older technologies, none of the older technologies can offer the safety or precision of the newest technology you’ll have when you choose Davis Vision Center.

#4 - Respect for Your Time

Maybe the biggest reason you’ve held off getting LASIK is that you aren’t sure you have the time to set aside for surgery and recovery. After all, surgery can take a lot of time, right?

Actually, LASIK eye surgery doesn’t take long at all. You’ll have your preoperative appointment, which takes about an hour and a half so Dr. Davis can assess your eyes for surgery. And following the surgery, you’ll have three brief follow-up visits so Dr. Davis can check that you’re recovering properly.

The surgery itself takes about 20 minutes, but with prep time before surgery and recovery time after, you’ll probably be in our office for 1-2 hours. Quick and easy, right?

We do, however, recommend that you take a couple of days away from work for recovery. But we know that taking time off can be hard for some people. So to make it easier for you to get surgery without taking a lot of time away from work, we usually schedule LASIK procedures on Thursday or Friday so you can recover over the weekend.

Our goal at Davis Vision Center is to make LASIK easy for you to access. Nothing should prevent you from choosing to have the clear vision you need in your day-to-day life. If you’re ready to take the first step towards 20/20 vision, contact us today.
